Simutrans has its own window management, because it has to run on such different platforms as Linux, BeOS and Windows. The next screenshot shows some information windows and the relief map which can be used to navigate easily from one side of the world to the other. The relief map gives also a global view of the world of Simutrans, which is actually an isolated island. Quite some of the information windows are also used to interact with the program, i.e. to change the schedule of a train or to change your vehicles colors, the language settings, the display settings etc. (From Simutrans 0.78). |
